1. Agreement to these terms

By accessing or using Squirreled ("the Service") at squirreled.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users including visitors and registered users.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use after any update constitutes your acceptance.

2. What Squirreled is

Squirreled is a free, web-based reminder and task management service that helps users track recurring maintenance tasks for home, vehicle, health, and personal life. Squirreled is provided entirely free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce optional paid features in the future with advance notice.

3. Accounts and your data

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it current. You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed from our systems within 30 days, subject to any legal retention requirements.

4. Community content

When you submit tasks to the community library, you grant Squirreled a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute that content to other users. You retain ownership of your content. You agree not to submit content that is harmful, misleading, or violates any law.

5. Reminders and notifications

Squirreled is a convenience tool, not a safety-critical system. We make reasonable efforts to deliver reminders but cannot guarantee delivery. Do not rely on Squirreled as your only means of tracking time-sensitive obligations such as medication, legal deadlines, or safety inspections.

Reminder delivery depends on third-party services including email and SMS providers, which may experience outages or delays outside our control. We are not responsible for missed reminders due to delivery failures.

5a. SMS Messaging Program

Squirreled offers an optional SMS reminder service operated by VDAWN LLC. By saving your phone number in Settings, you are opting in to receive task reminder and notification text messages sent from (817) 784-7765.

You may also enable or disable SMS reminders at any time in your account Settings under "Get SMS reminders." Squirreled does not share your phone number with third parties except as necessary to deliver SMS messages via Twilio. See our Privacy Policy for details.

6. Limitation of liability

Because Squirreled is provided entirely free of charge, to the fullest extent permitted by law, Squirreled and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, missed appointments, or financial loss arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

This limitation represents a reasonable and fair allocation of risk given that no payment is required to use the Service.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in abuse, or for any other reason at our sole discretion. You may stop using the Service at any time.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles.

10. No support contact

Squirreled is a free, self-serve service with no dedicated support channel. For issues with your account, please use the account deletion option in your settings. We do not provide individual support by email or any other means.

Affiliate Disclosure

squirreled.app · Effective May 4, 2026 · Last updated May 9, 2026
Short version: Squirreled is free to use. Some product links in reminders earn us a small commission when you buy. This never affects what we recommend or costs you anything extra.

How Squirreled earns revenue

Squirreled is provided free of charge. To sustain the service, we may earn revenue through affiliate commissions when users click links to products and make purchases through third-party retailers.

What this looks like in practice

When a task step involves purchasing something — for example, "Order a replacement HVAC filter" — reminder emails and the task builder may include a suggested product link. If you click that link and make a purchase, Squirreled may earn a small percentage of the sale at no additional cost to you.

FTC compliance

In accordance with the FTC's endorsement guidelines (16 C.F.R. § 255), we clearly disclose our affiliate relationships. Affiliate links in reminder emails are labeled at the point of recommendation. This disclosure page is accessible from every page footer.

Our editorial independence

Affiliate relationships do not influence which products are suggested. Product suggestions come from user-entered notes and community contributions, not paid placements. We do not accept payment to recommend specific products.

Third-party pricing and availability

We are not responsible for the accuracy of prices, product availability, or changes to third-party retailer policies. Always verify product details before purchasing.

Medical Disclaimer

squirreled.app · Effective May 4, 2026 · Last updated May 9, 2026
Squirreled is not a medical service. Nothing on this platform constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Not medical advice

Squirreled helps you track maintenance and task schedules of your choosing. Some users use it to track health-related tasks such as medication reminders, doctor appointments, or fitness goals. The content of these tasks is entirely user-generated and user-controlled.

Squirreled does not provide medical advice, clinical recommendations, or health assessments of any kind. No information on squirreled.app or in Squirreled reminder messages should be construed as medical advice.

Consult a qualified professional

For any medical condition, health concern, or before making health-related decisions, consult a licensed physician or qualified healthcare professional. Do not delay seeking medical advice because of something you read on Squirreled or received in a Squirreled reminder.

Do not rely on reminders for critical health tasks

Squirreled is a convenience tool. Reminder delivery is not guaranteed. Do not use Squirreled as your sole means of tracking critical health obligations such as medication schedules, time-sensitive treatments, or medical appointments where missing a deadline could have serious consequences.

Emergency situations

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number immediately. Do not use Squirreled to manage emergencies.
